RV Adventure-USA recognizes the large number of Snowbird RVers, people who seek a winter residence, free of the colder climates where they live most of the year. The Snowbirders flock to the warmer climates from November to Spring. RV vacationers seeking places to go that again are warmer locales but plan to stay for shorter periods of time than a snowbirder. FLORIDA’S NORTHEAST COAST: a section of geography from Jacksonville to a bit South of Orlando.

Winter RV Trips
St. Augustine, the oldest continuously habituated city in the US. The city dates back to 1565, it has visitors going to Castillo de San Marcus, St. Augustine Lighthouse, and Old town St. Augustine.
Daytona Beach lies a little further South and you may wish to visit the International Motor Speedway, a visit to the beach is always a favorite. While in the area you can stop and explore NASA’s Kennedy Space Center.campground
Orlando, the most visited spot in Florida. Home of Disneyland, Epcot Center, and much more. Universal Studios is also a huge favorite. Additionally, there are numerous great campgrounds to enjoy.
FLORIDA’S SOUTH CENTRAL COAST: From the Orlando continue South along the coast, stop for a visit in Fort Lauderdale, have lunch on the beach, also check out Miami Beach.
Continue south to the Everglades National Park, a one of a kind experience—take an air boat ride thru the waterways of the Park, see a 16-foot alligator, giant turtles in crystal blue lagoons, and observe the many species of birds thru-out the Park. FLORIDA KEYS, 160 miles of Coral Islands and over 60 bridges. Visit the daily festivities at Mallory Square. View the emerald green lagoons and the blue sea during various times of the daylight. WOW, what an experience. Sample the local Key Lime Pie, try the Conch shell fish, absorb some of the tropical flavor of the Keys.
FLORIDAS’ PANHANDLE: The Panhandle is appropriately named the Emerald coast due to the brilliant green waters, and sugar white sandy beaches. Some popular tourist locations are Pensacola, Destin, Panama City, and Carrabelle Beach. Those of you who live closer to the Panhandle and want to enjoy some of the world’s finest beaches try it here.

You may wish to explore some of the famous lakes such as Lake Okeechobee, Lake Kissimmee and numerous others offering water skiing, kayaking, para-sailing, and of course fishing abounds. If a quiet get away from the tourist population is your pleasure, try the Central Part of the state.
GULF COAST: Going a little further west to the Gulf Coast you can quickly find Tampa, St. Petersburg, Bradenton, Sarasota and host of beach towns and resorts.
